by Markus Eck (30.01.2008) Almost twenty years ago, the Melodic Rockers released the best and most successful album of their career: not only that "Wings of Heaven" reached number two in the British charts, also three hit singles came out of this album. In order to pay tribute to this milestone on their career, Magnum decided to play the whole album on their tour in late 2007. On this splendid double-album, you now find plenty of attractive elements: the first album features a representative cross section through the bandβs records, including such pearls as e.g. "How far Jerusalem", "Kingdom of madness" and "All England's eyes" as well as songs from the current studio album, "Princess Alice & the broken arrow". CD number two features a fantastic live version of the whole "Wings of Heaven"-album. Lovely produced by guitarist Tony Clarkin, this release satisfies demanding ears, too.
