"The optimist" CD by Anathema

Released as a limited edition media book (20-page booklet) with CD and audio-only DVD (5.1 surround sound and high-resolution stereo versions).

The progressive / ambient formation Anathema present their new album ‘The Optimist’. The eleventh album was recorded live at the Attica audio studio in Donega, Ireland and finalised with producer Tony Doogan (Mogwai, Belle & Sebastian, Super Furry Animals) at the Castle Of Doom Studios in Glasgow. The release was mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios (London) and arranged by Kevin Burleigh. No less a figure than Bruce Soord (The Pineapple Thief) is responsible for the 5.1 mix. Narratively, ‘The Optimist’ continues the story which began in 2001 with the album ‘A Fine Day to Exit’. Travis Smith designed the cover.
