by Ralf Koch (20.04.2009) The last one is a surprise: with Ronnie Dio's "Holy diver", the Belgian Thrashers walk the classic Heavy Metal path. And i. m.h.o., they're doing it quite well. The last three songs on this album are leaning heavily towards the above mentioned genre anyway: during the first part, After All deliver their stuff short and hefty, as it is usual in the Thrash- and Power Metal genre, but "Hollow state" (over five minutes long) is a bit more extensive... Followed by "Release" (7 minutes), void of double bass drums for the last 2 minutes, and even vocalist Piet Focroul can take a break and prepare his chords for the finale Γ  la Dio. A Thrash epic - why not? Recorded in the Belgian town of Mechelen, in the Hype Studio - produced by Dee J. and mastered by well-known Dan SwanΓΆ: no reason for complaints here, soundwise.
