by Markus Eck (19.02.2010) The music biz has kept this one as a big red hot secret - so much for cunning marketing strategies. "All-star band" was the only info leaking through - and after a glimpse on the line-up you'll certainly agree: drummer Dave Grohl is a household name since his days with Nirvana and his current outfit Foo Fighters, bass player and keyboard man John Paul Jones is also a famous music personality (does the name Led Zeppelin ring a bell?), and the position of guitar-cum--vocals is taken by Joshua Homme, well-known for his bands Queens Of The Stone Age and Eagles Of Death Metal. Fortunately, the special kind of Rock delivered by the trio does neither sound old-fashioned nor trendy - the musical background and the creative input of the three have been considered thoroughly, and each one has his fair share. British tech wiz Alan Moulder took care of the sound and also co-produced this wonderful debut gem titled "Never deserve the future".
