In the end they always got a good result making up for everything - like e.g. the new single, "The sons of Odin", the harbinger of the new album "Gods of war". Manowar have different sides, one of the strengths being the liking for dramatic, epic, and heart touching compositions. "The sons of Odin" is such a song. Swords rattle, whips bang and screams come into the majestic, mystical picture. A monumental up-tempo track and a worthy single underpinning why we love Manowar. "Gods of war" sets forth this line. There is a lot of classic in the song bursting for pathos and magic. The song "Odin" is featured in an orchestral version with horns and a great culminating dynamic that reminds me a bit of "The crown and the ring". The disc is rounded off with the live version of "King of Kings" and its intro "The ascension". Beside the 5 track jewel case, the single is also being released as a limited edition including a bonus DVD!
