by Eugen Legat (null) The drunkards around the huge frontman Johann Hegg are one of the few constants of Swedish Death cult and don't even think of escaping their natural limitation of their unique sound. Alone the use of their beloved Abyss Studios or the use of repolished deomo-material ("Risen from the sea") stands for pride and sense of tradition. Similar to Manowar (apart from some excursions of over-estimation of oneself), Amon Amarth's songs will catch your heart and soul by majestic monumentality rather than packed detail.
