by Patrick Beier (03.04.2006) After their debut “Bitterness the star“ far above the average and the high polished second album, “A snow capped romance“, the quartet around Brock Lindow (vocals) release their new and best album to date, “Rest inside the flames“. Just in time for this magazine, I got a promotional advance copy of the album and I'm happy as a sledge dog from Alaska. Apropos Alaska: Their change of their native country from Alaska to Portland has obviously not harmed the four. Frustration, aggression, emotions and the sense for a matured, unique song writing have remained and all these trademarks already convince in the opener, “I'll go until my hear stops“. Powerful and energy loaded guitar walls come forward, drum attacks paired with Lindow's “I vomit into your face” vocals spit at you and leave you waltzed down for the next one, “Felt through a phone line“. With the presence of atmosphere the guys present their other side that after all makes them so nice. A total of eleven songs lifting up from the emo-marshes with their convincing quality.
