by Oliver Kube (12.08.2009) After a break of over two years, the German Symphonic Metal outfit and their very own eye candy Ji-In Cho report back on the scene. The new label deal seems to have encouraged the band to take some risks... The powerful epic opening song "Ignition" is followed by the brute and maybe a tad too electronic title track, and then, we're in for the so far most exciting song in the history of this band: "Why" with its beautiful piano part at the beginning may be a more tranquil composition, but it's not one of those overly epic ballads begging for airplay. The band indulges in some lengthy experimental parts, especially in the last third of it, which are rarely heard in this kind of genre so focussed on the "emotion" effect. But - don't worry, apart from other interesting moments, there's a lot of wonderfully catchy tunes for you Nightwish and Within Temptation aficionados, too - examples: irresistible "For you, I’ll bring the devil down", pumping "Shoot me" or mighty "Now".
