by Serpent (19.07.2007) They are big, they are powerful and they are angry. That was doubtlessly clear, also for the new album of Karl Sanders and his team. Yet, now the fun is finally over. Or does it only begin? "Ithyphallic" is a tremendous monster, a beast that you have to tame first. It's a wonder that my stereo is still intact after playing this disc and has not exploded into thousand pieces. Or even worse: gulped by huge Nile crocodiles. After a majestic intro, Nile put one clearly produced bullet after the other into the barrel of "Ithyphallic" steeply pointing upwards. Blow for blow come first class Death Metal waltzes, like "As he creates so he destroys", "The language of the shadows" and the track with the longest name ever, "Papyrus containing the spell to preserve its possessor against attacks from he who is in the water". The nape cracks desperately and life is suddenly full of joy again. Any questions left?
