The late 90's superstars have returned in their original line-up for a powerful comeback album. Sound-wise and stylistically, there are no unnecessary surprises to be found, just powerful Post-Grunge all the way.

by Oliver Kube (30.10.2009) The Rock mega-sellers are back - in their original line-up, meaning front man Scott Stapp and bassist Biran Marshall (who had quit the band before the release of their third and so far last album "Weathered" in 2001). Listening to "Full circle", the five years of separation, the quarrels between vocalist and the three instrumentalists (who, with a new singer, have been quite successful under the name of Alter Bridge within the last years) seem to be just a product of imagination! There are no style- or sound-surprises - which is absolutely okay, or you might say, even great news in this case. Tough, groovy , yet always epic tracks à la "Overcome" (the single - including an incredible guitar solo by Mark Tremonti), or irresistible "Good fight" are just brilliant and will be instant faves of the heart, even for veteran fans of the band. But don't worry, the quartet still knows its calmer stuff... That's what I call a wonderful comeback.
