by Markus Wosgien (11.07.2006) The gothic rockers, Lacrimas Profundere have gone through a great development. For years, they used to be an insider tip but with their last album, "Ave end“, the Southern Germans made the step to the national top. John Fryer (Depeche Mode, Paradise Lost) provided the new work of genius with a powerful production and he is of the opinion that "Filthy notes for frozen hearts" could even outlive the HIM classic, "Razorblade romance“ in terms of success. Charming words, but still, class speaks for itself. Lead by the first single, "Again it's over", an ear candy in The 69 Eyes manner, Christopher Schmid dominates with his clear, low and melancholic voice adding a unique charm to the 12 songs that not only girls will be addicted to. Lacrimas Profundere did everything right, gooseflesh is guaranteed and it is not too much to say that this is a definite highlight of the genre: a gloomy, romantic firework of the special kind.
