Sepultura turn back to their roots. After their last two album, "Against" and "Nation" were not so well received by their fans, Andreas Kisser & Co. Obviously decided to revive the old strengths. With their American singer, Derrick Greene, who came in 1998 for Max Cavalera, "Roorback" is clearly more grippy and consequent. The jam parts and colourful style-mixes of the last two records were replaced by a straighter attitude. Sepultura present masses of brutal guitar riffs, let singer Green roar with all his might and reanimate the roots of powerful Thrashmetal as we last have seen it on "Beneath The Remains", "Arise" and "Chaos A.D.". Fitting also the raw, loud production perfectly serving the wish for dynamics. The limited edition features the bonus c.d., "Revolusongs", with 7 cover version (featuring songs of U2, Massive Attack et al). (Matthias Mineur - 04/03)
