Women's Faux Leather Jackets

Faux leather jackets never go out of style, so a model will look good in any wardrobe. The story begins with rock'n'roll and motorcycles. In the 1950s, British youths roamed the streets with their converted motorcycles: they listened to rock'n'roll, wore leather jackets with jeans and were called rockers. Since then, these jackets made of leather or imitation leather have become indispensable.

In the 70s, the faux leather jacket found its way to the punks. In the following decade, jackets reappeared in some metal bands. Imitation leather jackets cannot be killed. The archetype is and remains the motorcycle jacket. Punks, rockers or goths don't follow the mainstream, even if faux leather jackets appear in fashion magazines from time to time. If you're into faux leather jackets, then you know why: these pieces are simply part of your style. In the EMP online shop you will find imitation leather jackets for women in different designs. Browse around. Which one suits you best?

What is typical of these faux leather jackets?

Without a jacket that can be tightly closed with a zipper, it would pull a motorcycle. Most imitation leather jackets also adopt the lapel collar and the tightly cut sleeves from the model from the 50s. If the jacket is too long, it will get in the way on the motorcycle. So the jackets rarely go over the hips. In addition, many imitation leather jackets for women have two side pockets, which often have a zipper - practical for small items.

What are the differences between the models?

The imitation leather jackets are available in different designs. Sometimes they are very short and just reach the waist. For others, the zipper is not in the middle, but on the side. While some faux leather jackets have a particularly wide lapel collar, others are content with a smaller stand-up collar. These models are reminiscent of very modern motorcycle jackets.

Simple imitation leather jackets are juxtaposed with elaborately cut models. Thus, some of these jackets seem strict, while others come across as playful. However, most jackets are fashionably cut to the waist. There are often details such as a belt, decorative stripes or buckles. The fashion designers sometimes play with the surfaces: very smooth meets rough material. On some models, they also use inserts made of other material.

What do these women's faux leather jackets go with?

The faux leather jackets can look great with tight jeans as well as short skirts. If you try different combinations, you will quickly notice: The length of the jacket must match the height of the waistband of the skirt or trousers. Otherwise, the parts look somehow unhappy together. For example, if the faux leather jacket is too long, a skirt underneath will not really come into its own. There are bound to be a few pieces in your wardrobe that go great with one of these faux leather jackets. Do you already have an idea?
