Festival Backpacks

When you're spending the day in front of the main stage, the last thing you want is to juggle snacks, drinks and a rain jacket. A good festival backpack keeps everything in one place, whether you're heading into the pit or back to the campsite. At EMP, you'll find durable backpacks built for festival season, from tactical designs and everyday essentials to officially licensed band merch. Plenty of storage, practical compartments and rugged materials make them ready for whatever the weekend throws at you.

Festival Backpacks for every style

Festival gear doesn't have to be bulky to be practical. Our collection combines function with styles that fit right into the rock, metal and alternative scene. Whether you prefer military-inspired designs, gothic aesthetics, urban streetwear or backpacks featuring your favourite bands, there's something that fits your look.

From compact daypacks to large camping backpacks with up to 65 l of capacity, you'll find the right size for every festival. Smaller bags are perfect for drinks, valuables and festival essentials, while larger models give you enough space for clothes, camping gear and everything you'll need over several days.

Many backpacks also feature practical extras such as multiple compartments, padded shoulder straps, waist belts, compression straps and water-resistant materials. Tactical backpacks with MOLLE webbing let you attach extra pouches, bottles or accessories, while durable fabrics like polyester and canvas stand up to muddy fields, crowded pits and unpredictable weather.

Official Band Backpacks for music fans

A festival backpack is practical, but it can also show exactly what you're into. That's why you'll find officially licensed backpacks featuring iconic bands alongside classic outdoor styles.

Detailed artwork, embroidered logos and album-inspired graphics turn everyday backpacks into proper fan merch. Standout designs include the Ozzy Osbourne Blizzard of Ozz backpack, alongside backpacks and accessories featuring legends like Iron Maiden, AC/DC and Motörhead. If you want to complete your look, you'll also find matching patches and other officially licensed merch to personalise your gear.

How to choose the right Festival Backpack

The right backpack keeps your essentials organised without weighing you down. A few things are worth considering before you choose:

• Capacity: Think about how much you'll actually carry. Around 10–20 l is plenty for day trips, while 30–65 l gives you enough space for camping equipment, clothing and supplies.
• Comfort: Adjustable shoulder straps, padded back panels and breathable materials make a huge difference when you're carrying your backpack all day.
• Organisation: Multiple compartments make it easier to keep valuables, power banks, phones and snacks organised. External pockets and MOLLE systems offer even more flexibility.
• Weight: Lightweight backpacks reduce fatigue, while heavier-duty models offer more storage and durability. The right balance depends on your plans.
• Style: Whether you want a subtle everyday backpack or a bold band design, choose something you'll enjoy using long after festival season ends.
• Durability: Strong stitching, reliable zips and hard-wearing materials like polyester or canvas help your backpack survive crowded campsites, muddy fields and plenty of travelling.

Frequently Asked Questions about Festival Backpacks

We've answered some of the most common questions about festival backpacks below.

How do I clean my festival backpack?

Most festival backpacks are made from durable polyester, canvas or blended fabrics that are easy to maintain.

For everyday dirt, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth or gently hand wash using lukewarm water and mild detergent. Stubborn marks can be removed with a soft sponge or brush. Machine washing isn't usually recommended, as it can damage coatings, padding or stitching.

After cleaning, rinse the inside thoroughly to remove any soap residue and leave the backpack to air dry upside down. Avoid tumble dryers and direct sunlight, as excessive heat may damage the fabric or cause colours to fade.

Are there EMP exclusive backpacks?

Yes. EMP offers a range of exclusive festival backpacks and cooler bags that you won't find elsewhere. These include officially licensed designs from bands such as Five Finger Death Punch, Slayer and Ghost, alongside limited-edition prints and exclusive artwork available only at EMP.

Is the merchandise officially licensed?

Absolutely. All band backpacks and fan merchandise sold at EMP are officially licensed. Every design is authorised by the respective rights holder, so you can be confident you're buying genuine, high-quality merchandise.
