by Lisa Hofer (14.01.2008) Almost ten years ago, Liquido had a great single hit, called "Narcotic" providing them with honour and fame to the day. Yet, they couldn't free themselves of the one hit wonder reproach. With their fifth album, supporters of this argument get a problem. "Zoomcraft" is an absolute highlight, variable and full of ideas turning the world of Electronic Alternative Rock upside down. The fourteen songs on the album radiate the charms of a cool party community in cool dress, smelling like expensive perfume and ordering masses of noble drinks. On "Zoomcraft", you go through three levels of such an opulent party: songs like "Beyond the turmoil" and "2 square meters" have phat riffs and stylish electronics as well as catchy refrains. They are there to heat the atmosphere, while "Gameboy", "Way to mars" and "Mercury" are much more atmospheric and chill-like with the guitars more in the back. With "Zoomcraft", the former tank top carriers release an exclusive album free from all commerce that couldn't be any smarter.
