by Jürgen Tschamler (22.12.2005) Naildown are another newcomer from Finland which lets me guess that nearly every male juvenile Finn is having his own band. These four guys have devoted to the typical Finn sound, that means they follow the trails of Children Of Bodom, Norther or Kalmah. The production is very C.O.B.-like, and also vocally, Daniel Freyberg tends towards that direction. After the first listening, it is clear that Naildown have included a bit more neo-classical influence and pay more attention to effective Rock- and Metal riffs. That becomes even clearer in the fat banging tracks, like "Evil deeds", "Reflecting my descent" or "Broken down". Interesting is also the title track, beginning almost Pantera-like and turning out to be one of the most complex songs on the album. The ten tracks have a great production and will satisfy the mentioned fans a 110%. Considering that Naildown was initially formed as a leisure time project, it is remarkable to see the potential of this quartet.
