by Markus Wosgien (11.07.2006) The Norwegian glam rock gods finally release the long awaited successor to their superb debut, "It's hard to be a Rock'n'Roller“. They entered the hearts of hard rock fans all over the world and consequently had to outlive an absolute masterpiece. "Wig Wamania“ sounds more matured and more serious than its predecessor but convinces with a similar variety and contains plenty of hits. Wig Wam stand for happy moods and they embody the cliché sex, drugs & Rock'n'Roll. Of course, the 80s won't return but still, Wig Wam manage to give us a bit of the Mötley Crüe-feeling back. With the slightly Whitesnake-like "Bygone zone“ you have at least one top hit on the album that could provide the four freaks with the breakthrough. Furthermore there are plenty of sleaze and glam killers, like the edgy "Rock my ride“, or the singalong hymn, "Kill my Rock'n'Roll“. Virtuoso is also the gifted "The riddle“ in which Teeny again proves to be a guitar god!
