    Forever Young

by Markus Eck (18.01.2008) When the predecessor album, "Werk 80" was released in 1997, nobody had foreseen the immense success of this brave cover album. Now, Atrocity again devote to old, timeless chart classics. Arranged even richer and more opulent, in part also heavier than in 1997, "Werk 80 II" contains some a surprising hit in modern, Black Metal outfit: "People are people" by Depeche Mode, "Smalltown boy" by Bronski Beat, "Relax" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, "Don't you forget about me" by the Simple Minds, "The sun always shines on TV" by A-ha, "Hey little girl" by Icehouse, "Fade to grey" by Visage, "Such a shame" by Talk Talk, "Here comes the rain again" by the Eurythmics as well as "Forever young" by Alphaville. With the most unexpected song, "Keine Heimat", originally played by Ideal, the guys around singer Alex Krull even took a song from the Neue Deutsche Welle era. Music lovers with an affinity to aesthetic, emotional women portraits can furthermore look forward to an exceptional cover layout featuring the attractive Dita von Teese.
