by Benny Ramm (13.04.2006) The ex-Carcass frontman, Jeff Walker releases his first solo album of the funny name, “Welcome to Carcass Cuntry", released on his own label, In Grind We Trust on 8. May, 2006, distributed by Cargo Records in Germany. If you now expect sounds like in Jeff Walker's grind/death-legend, Carcass on “Welcome to Carcass Cuntry“, you're completely wrong. The active Englishman presents country and blues cover songs of well known interprets, namely Skeeter Davis, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Connie Smith or also John Denver. The guest musicians appearing on this album are equally well known, such as Gas (H.I.M; drums), Ville Valo (H.I.M., bass/backing-vocals), Bill Steer (ex-Carcass, lead-guitar, harmonica, slide-guitar, vocals), Esa Holopainen and Tomi Koivusaari of Amorphis and last but not least ex-Faith No More bass player, Billy Gould. Larry Welz of Cherry Comics drew the funny cover. What a funny release!
