by Jürgen Tschamler (10.04.2006) With their debut album, “Conspiracy in mind“, they entered all soundchecks and occupied top ranges in all best-of the year polls. “Waves of visual decay” is the long-awaited successor which picks up where the debut left off. Again, the Norwegians convince, surprise and fascinate with their unique mix and originality. The album contains seven rather long songs comprising everything that was so adorable on the debut album - and they even enhance that. Heavy riff cascades, great pace changes, unique songwriting, a heavy performance and an unbelievable sense for thrilling ideas make this album a real hitter. The wild mixture of thrash metal, progressive elements and tight power metal is revealed in musical diamonds, such as “Fooled by the serpent“, “Frozen asleep in the park“ or the partly melancholic “Waves of visaul decay“! And by the way: “My bleeding victim“ is the intellectual clout of all. Just magic!
