Belphegor don't know the word stagnation - with each album, they try to create an opus that is even more extreme, heftier than the one they did before. With their incredibly fast mixture of Black and Death Metal, these Austrians are among the most important bands of their genre, and they have also steadily improved their instrumental skills. When you hear the words "I am Satan" on "Veneratio diaboli - I am sin", a shiver runs down your spine and you'll be conquered. In spite of all the aggression, the nine tracks are very melodious - apart from Belphegor, only Behemoth are able to write stuff like that. Their mix of German and English vocals makes for a mysterious magic and a very occult atmosphere. Very original: "Der Geistertreiber". In a nutshell: an awesome album containing nine unique and brilliant songs.
