Excellent Service

The four longtracks with a playing time of almost 50 minutes on "Waiting for the flood" easily outweigh all expectations on multifacetedness and joy of playing. The third work of the Berlin Heavy-Psych Rockers Samsara Blues Experiment is boosted by intensive harmonies and their up to now most balanced and challenging album. In a creative maturing process of 18 months this album blends the best basic approaches of the two previous longplayers ("Long distance Ttip" and "Revelation & Mystery"). With an average length of 12 minutes per song they dive deeply into the universe of the progressive 70s Hard Rock. In a professional way Christian Peters (guitar/vocals), Hans Eiselt (guitar), Richard Behrens (bass) and Thomas Vedder (drums) utilise their individual talents so effective, something majestic was created. In the epic width of the individual songs you can hear elements of British acts like Man, Khan or Camel, with occasional trips to the notch of the Heavy Southern Rock of Corrosion Of Conformity or Floodgate. The guys of SBE work consistently at the edge of musical borders and to pack them in just one genre like Stoner, Psychedelic or Progressive Rock wouldn't do the band justice. With a fresh, innovative style they follow a fierce, organic approach of modern improvising. With their individual way of presenting musical innovation as unlimited and melodic artform, they are just extraordinary.
