by Markus Eck (10.01.2007) Unmistakably, Fear My Thoughts are really devoted to this album and did everything in order to further progress as innovation specialists. The quintet impressively proves that they haven't reached their composition limits yet, and at the same time how damned fine it can sound to bring in a number of influences for an artistic combination with the right enthusiasm. Because "Vulcanus" offers inspiringly infectious and discreetly progressive Modern Extreme Metal far off the usual Metalcore- and Melodic Death Metal-schemes. On their new killer the quintet serves predominantly furious material. Atmospheric-psychotic elements not seldom go with rather dreamy, melodically arranged surprise passages. As variable as this and still without undermining the own musical identity can only be heard by very few bands in this genre.
