by Oliver Kube (19.02.2010) Limp Bizkit front man Fred Durst once discovered these Alternative Rocksters from Kansas City - but in spite of some considerable success, they still haven't really made it big so far, still standing in the shadows of their genre peers Creed, 3 Doors Down, and currently Nickelback. Maybe it's the slightly strained, a bit naggy voice of front man Wes Scantlin. Maybe it's the fact that their songs have always been rougher, bitchier, and chunkier than those of the aforementioned... Well, they obviously haven't changed that on their fourth album: after passionate "Stoned", "Spaceship" (slightly reminding me of `80s Glam Metal) is a totally replaceable and uninspiring track - a disappointment. Fortunately, this is the only one - the rest of the material compensates you for the glitch: just check out the atmospheric, Country-influenced power ballad "Keep it together", that crispy mid-tempo thing "Out of my way", or the straight Rock song "Blood on the table"...
