Finnish Melodic Death Metal rising stars BRYMIR are back with their strongest album to date, Voices In The Sky, which will be released on August 26th, 2022. The five-piece band, consisting of guitarist Joona Björkroth (Battle Beast), frontman and producer Viktor Storm Gullichsen, drummer Patrik Fält (Feastem, ex-Afgrund), guitarist Sean Haslam and bassist Jarkko Niemi, was formed in 2006 and already made an impact on the scene in 2011 with their debut album Breathe Fire to the Sun, blending folk metal influences with cinematic soundscapes and intense melodic death elements. On their fourth album, BRYMIR impressively demonstrate their evolution and deliver a fresh, powerful work in the style of bands like Ensiferum, Wintersun, and Children Of Bodom.

With flawless production, massive grooves, and impressive technique, BRYMIR represent a new sound in the genre, drawing inspiration from traditional folk and classical music. This exciting sonic experience was produced by vocalist Viktor Storm Gullichsen at JKB Studios, with mastering by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios. The album opener and title track is an ode to Heavy Metal , reaching the listener with its epic and intense sound, breathtaking instrumentation, fiery guitars, and the most furious blast beats in the band's history! Similarly, 'Forged in War' progresses at a rapid pace and is enhanced by additional vocals from BRYMIR's live session guitarist Antti Nieminen, who is also featured in the folk metal-infused 'Far From Home'. 'Seeds of Downfall' is the most aggressive and darkest track on the record, making a statement with majestic arrangements that blend with heroic choirs. 'Landfall' also provides strong evidence of the band's technical brilliance and high level of performance.

The catchy 'Fly with Me' combines immense, catchy choruses with angry growls and intense breakdowns, while tracks like 'Herald of Aegir' - a outcry against the pollution of our oceans - and 'Rift Between Us' lean towards the power metal side of BRYMIR. Nevertheless, the artists always remain rooted in the melodic death metal segment. The emotional 'Borderland' captivates with its intense lyrics, underscored by the poem 'My Testament' by the renowned Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko. Voices In The Sky concludes with the nearly eight-minute epic 'All as One' and a furious bonus cover version of Dark Funeral's 'Diabolis Interium', just as dark as the original. With their new album, BRYMIR prove that they are on the rise and ready to climb the next level of this promising journey.
