by Matthias Mader (11.07.2006) Icepick - what a great, bad band name. And the best is that the music can live up to this name in terms of brutality, too. "100% real", a sticker like this can be stuck on the cover by anyone but Icepick keep what they promised. If icons, like Paul Bearer of Sheer Terror, Roger Miret (Agnostic Front), Freddie (Madball) and even Ice-T applied for a guest vocal appearance than you can expect something big to come. Most of the 12 songs of this side project of different musicians of Hatebreed, Skarhead and Terror move in mid tempo-regions but it's exactly that what unfolds the aggressiveness (without any metal core clichΓ©s) that I haven't felt since SFA's "The new moralityβ. This is really the nonplusultra and also if some may call me strange: this is a bitter lection for all euro hardcore copyists, the Americans are still No. 1!
