by Matthias Mader (20.09.2007) The soundtrack for another German comedy that is up for the success of previously "Sonnenallee" and "Goodbye Lenin". The setting this time is Berlin-West, though: the fellows Flow and Hotte aimlessly live in a poor video store in NeukΓΆlln, Flo has problems with the fiscal authorities, Hotte tries (initially) unsuccessfully, to sail in the brunette bait, Ramona (to whom the complete bonus cd with eleven "Ramona"-songs by eleven different bands is devoted to). The cast, featuring Bela B., Till Schweiger and Badesalz underpins the high claims of the film. Just like the soundtrack, featuring Elke ("Ihr seid so geil"), the Beatsteaks ("Don't care as long as you sing" plus "Soothe me") as well as Terrorgruppe ("Leider nur ein Traum") β not from NeukΓΆlln but with a lot of Berlin local colour. So, there is only one question left: how did the British Snuff get onto this soundtrack, whom I personally dearly love but who together with Peter And The Test Tube Babies don't quite fit the line up a hundred percent.
