The re-release of In Extremo’s „Verehrt und Angespien" (1999) released as a coloured limited edition.

Besides traditional songs and verses out of different ages and regions (‚Merseburger Zaubersprüche’, ‚Herr manellig’) there is one modern cover song on „Verehrt und Angespien": In Extremo’s interpretation of ‚This corrosion’ (originally by Sisters Of Mercy).

by Andreas Reissnauer (null) After the surprising success of their debut the guys from Berlin continue their path. The follower sounds more mature and better since the arrangements are more fluent and the ensemble playing functions a lot better. The guys always had a flair for good melodies (just listen to "Merseburger Zaubersprüche" or "Herr Mannelig"). "Dödet" on the other hand sounds a little bizarre at first but you'll get used to that after a couple of contacts. Same for "Spielmannsfluch" and "Weiberfell". You're plainly offered a lot of contrasts on this album. A very essential album. Seldomly a folk meets metal fusion sounded as good!
