by Markus Eck (30.10.2009) With the immense force of a mighty stampede, these five Swedish Hardcore hulks attack, using "Veil of ignorance", their new studio album, as their threatening horns. Fellow Swede and star producer Daniel Bergstrand was able to captivate the sheer raw energy of the quintet authentically on CD, so the listener can take in the versatile musical chunks of this fifth release adequately. Listening to this output is awesome - you won't find such material in that genre too often, after all. This special mixture of original old school Hardcore, highly aggressive Punk parts, heavy Groove Metal sounds and peppy anthemic melodies is pretty convincing, and even in their few calmer moments, Raised Fist demonstrate a remarkable energy level and versatility.
