by Markus Wosgien (13.04.2007) The cover-version of "Summer wine" can currently be heard on all channels while the band is still working on their new studio album. To further shorten the wait, the second part of the "Uneasy listening" series is being released, featuring known HIM songs in previously unreleased versions as remixes or live versions. While Vol.1 rather devoted to the softer side of the Finns, this album covers the rocky side. Opener is the 616-version of the possibly heaviest HIM song, "Buried alive by love", followed by classics, like "I love you" (in a Joffa Bond Remix), "Soul on fire" and "Pretending", provided with a cosmic flair. Ville Valo himself chose and reworked the 14 songs. From "Right here in my arms", "Hand of doom", "Sail on", and "Wicked game", you get live versions from a show in Turku. The sound is great, as well as the atmosphere which lets me hope for a future complete live album. After all, HIM can do whatever they want. Like King Judas, everything they touch becomes gold.
