by Oliver Kube (26.06.2007) Founded by a handful of high school-fellows, Amber Pacific could chart already with their first album in 2005. The extremely catchy Punk Rock of the four hit the Zeitgeist, sold extremely well and saw them invited on the legendary "Warped"-tour. With their new album, the Seattle based quartet now proves how they matured, without having lost their sense and appeal for power and Pop. After an atmospheric intro, "Summer (in b)" starts with an extremely fast riff blast. Driving forward rhythms also dominate songs like "Living proof" and "Runaway", featuring singer Matt Young duetting with MxPx-frontman Mike Herrera. But the guys can do much more than hit the drums fast: for the completely un-embarrassing, thoughtful "Take me from this place", they engaged a complete symphonic orchestra. So, who would cry a tear for Blink 182, or become desperate because Green Day take all the time in the world for a new album? Amber Pacific-fans do not, that's for sure!
