Not only that the 2004-predecessor, "Cast away", was extremely successful, several line-up changes got the younger history of the popular Epic/Fantasy-Metal outfit quite mixed up. But after all, the band mastered all problems and the new song collection is proof of that. Featuring a new (female) vocalist, Visions Of Atlantis present themselves more matured and artistically tighter. And with the American soprano, Melissa Feerlak, they were very lucky: her graceful and powerful vocal volume is of well sounding splendor. Still, she is fortunately not alone and also the new compositions are of truly convincing nature. A great, cultivated pleasure: Beguiling epic, emotionally far reaching passion dramas in highly melodic song format.
