by Björn Thorsten Jaschinski (04.03.2008) They turned their hometown upside down, these three super heroes from Linköping. The dots on the "a" make their affinity to to Mötley Crüe and Motörhead clearer – and at the same time prevents them from any legal lawsuits with a certain company – they wanted to avoid the destiny of D.A.D.. It had become a bit calmer around the Scandinavian High Energy Rock'n'Roll lately, yet, despite similar influences, the comic freaks cannot simply be compared with the Hellacopters, Gluecifer and Turbonegro. Sure, Märvel is retro and vintage like hell and they let their love for Kiss shine through in the backing vocals. But despite the dirty drives of "Code of the road", the trio is much closer to Classic Rock with its open guitar chords than to rough Hardrock, Punk or Metal. The very early Thin Lizzy could serve as a comparison, especially in the vocals. In songs, like "Cagney sans lacey (The city is burning)", a female duet partner comes in, too. Rock'n'Roll as fun music, without pathetic messages and without the normal studio insanity.
