by Markus Wosgien (29.03.2007) Not much has remained from their Thrash Metal-orientated Metalcore of the early days. They present themselves modern and melodic and have a bunch of ear candies in store. The eleven songs are original, always catchy and by the aid of the great production by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Stone Sour) a true pleasure for the ears. Already the opener, "Redemption", is a highlight with anthemnic chorus followed by the almost ballad-like "Another hero lost", which should provide the commercial breakthrough for the band and be airplayed by every radio station around. Still, they also kick it and let it roll in fast tracks, like "Storm winds" or the groovy "Venomous". "Threads of life" has many faces and really convinces. If you haven't been aware of this band before, change it now. After Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium, Shadows Fall should be the band of the hour.
