Limited edition on black double vinyl in Gatefold format (180gs) including a download code.

Eight years after their last studio album, 'Runrig' is back with new energy and artistic dynamics for one last album. "The Story" is released on January 29th, 2016 and is the 14th studio album on which the band worked on almost the whole year. It will be the last glamorous chapter in Runrig's history. The songs were written by the two brothers Rory and Calum Macdonald, who founded the band in 1973. The ten brand new songs reflect everything that is important to them and what has made Runrig unique - the love for the highlands with all their myths and natural beauty, the love for the Gallic, but also human fate between passion and war. The decision to make keyboard player Brian Hurren, the youngest band member, the producer turned out to be the stroke of a genius (Calum Macdonald). The pre-released single and title song "The Story" shows Runrig's typical melodic in top form. The Gallic-English sung tracks, where Rory Macdonald did the singing instead of lead singer Bruce Guthro, is an anthem for their home that is supported by guitar fury that will make every fan's heart bleed.
