by Jürgen Tschamler (24.07.2009) It's not easy for these Canadians, what with all the prejudices concerning their sound: originally, everybody filed them under "Horror Punk", but they always balked at being put in that drawer. Yet, the band feels strangely attracted to that genre - without its limitations, that is. A contradiction - but is that still important these days? Subgenres aren't defined by nerds anymore: to hell with limitations. So, this band with the strange name follows its own and unique rules on its second output, too: you'll hear some Horror Punk chunks, as wells as numerous allusions to Social Distortion. These elements are combined skilfully with 50s/60s parts - the result: genuine rockets. Plus: Mr. Nim Vind himself is blessed with an extraordinary voice - you'll recognize this band among hundreds of others for sure. Watch out - Nim Vind may be not commercial, but are bound for success anyway.
