by Markus Eck (29.09.2006) The successor to their great 2004-album "Buried in oblivion", presents the exceptional Candian troop around the two vocal magicians Tim Roth and Stu Block again from their very heavy side. Also on "The scattering of ashes", Into Eternity perfectly combine edgy, thrashy aggressions and playful, graceful parts in a highly melodic way. The former, quite progressive touch was reduced on the new album - replaced by the abnormally virtuoso Canadians' uniqueness. Numerous ecstatic highspeed passages set free boundless rhythmic energies. The fantastic guitars jump head over heels into intelligent monster arrangements. Still, the quartet doesn't perform on skyscraper-high technical levels. This is just an absolute killer album that won't fit any pigeonholes.
