The Purple Album' by Whitesnake will be released as a re-release in the form of a 'Special Gold Edition' CD & Blu-ray package in a Digipak.
Coverdale celebrates the 50th anniversary of his debut with Deep Purple this year with a special version of The Purple Album, Whitesnake's tribute to his three-year time with the legendary group. This newly remixed, remastered, and expanded edition of the 2015 album includes previously unreleased recordings, including the demo that secured Coverdale's place in Deep Purple.
In addition to Reb Beach on guitar and Michael Devin on bass, Joel Hoekstra is also featured on his first Whitesnake album, and drummer Tommy Aldridge is heard on a Whitesnake studio album for the first time since Slip Of The Tongue in 1989.
