Because "The pick of destiny" is the accompanying soundtrack and only contains four "real" songs of the Californian cult duo Jack Black und Kyle Gass. Which are the mini Rock-opera "Kickapoo" (featuring Meat Loaf and Ronnie James Dio), the Who-cover "Master exploder", the Kiss-like "Car chase city" and a five-minute "Rock out" with Nirvana-drummer and hobby-devil Dave Grohl. In between, you get short film sequences and song-ditties in which the two nevertheless present themselves at their best. "Classico" is a Bach-interpretation, "History" a great Southern-Rock-persiflage, "The government totally sucks" the straight middle finger towards George Bush and "Papagenu" a drug trip with Bigfoot. Sounds crazy? It is indeed - with the definite highlight being "The Metal": a tribute to the Spandex Rock of the 80s with the memorable line "no one can destroy the Metal". Great fun! But, as I said, only really great in combination with the film.
