The progressive / ambient formation Anathema present their new album ‘The Optimist’. The eleventh album was recorded live at the Attica audio studio in Donegal, Ireland and finalised with producer Tony Doogan (Mogwai, Belle & Sebastian, Super Furry Animals) at the Castle Of Doom Studios in Glasgow. The release was mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios (London) and arranged by Kevin Burleigh. Narratively, ‘The Optimist’ continues the story which began in 2001 with the album ‘A Fine Day to Exit’. The cover, meanwhile, comes from Travis Smith.
