Excellent Service
It must have been a shock for the Band once they scaled Radio Bremen's stage. While the demolished set of the MUSIKLADEN was ok for Joey, Dee Dee, Johnny and Marky Ramone, this doesn't apply to the audience. Styled and bored people were sitting in front of the stage as if they were left from the last Baccara gig. JΓΆrg Sonntag, now director and editor and back then Mike Leckebusch's assisting director, remembers in an interview (bonus title on the DVD) how he had been wandering through Bremen's pubs the night before and distributed free tickets. That's why at least a small part of the audience was made up of punks and rockers. The RAMONES put it off at first and played their one hour concert, which showed pieces from their first two albums, with the highest professionalism and joy. And they did manage to thrill the audience in the end. For the American punk legends this first TV performance not only meant hard labour, but also the vital breakthrough on the continent..
This package includes the concert with all encores, for the first time on LP and DVD. It of course comes on 180gs vinyl in a folding cover.
