by 10.09.2008 (22.10.2008) Unearth have already done the often-cited "difficult third album" with "In the eyes of fire". So ist successor "The march" is far away from being a "make it or break it" for the boys. Yet it could be very well the album which propels them for good into the Premier League of modern Metal. The change at the drums did some good for the band, the ten songs from "Grave of opportunity" and "The chosen" until the closer "Truth or consequence" sound remarkably more structured and transparent. "My will be done" with ist intricate guitar work is a real smasher, bridging the gap between classic Metal, Thrash, Speed, and Hardcore without any effort, and the title track "The march" with this pumping military rhythm is also a killer song. Unearth have achieved a certain reputation now - nobody should ask what kind of genre they do serve or commit themselves to: they are just Unearth.
