by Markus Eck (20.04.2009) After Michael Sadler's departure, the Saga fans were really eager to know who would be the next vocalist in their favourite band... Well, the new studio album of the Canadian Progressive Rock kings answers that question sufficiently. The new man at the mike, gifted Torontonian Rob Moratti, is so brilliant he makes you forget his predecessor very quick. To find an adequate substitute had been an ordeal for Saga, but in the end, it paid off. But "The human condition" itself is a gem, too, teeming with refreshing ideas, versatility, and fantastic, intricate melody arrangements. Maybe the quintet has found a fountain of creativity - you haven't seen them that dynamic, virtuoso, vital, technically superior, and stylistically determined for a long time. And that applies to the great solo parts, too.
