by Jürgen Tschamler (03/10) Errrm, did I miss something? Unbelievable, the enormous progression My Γ¬ Ruin attack the listeners' ears with on their new album "The horror of beauty". Γ¬ The albums so far have been nice but not with any special long-term effect. This Γ¬ opinion has to be revised for the new album. Tarrie B. approaches the songs so Γ¬ angrily, so pissed off you literally can hear that she doesn't giveΓ¬ a shit about anything at the moment. The powerful riff-carpet delivered by Γ¬ Mick Murphy steamrolls everything down, the rhythm section rages unbelievably and Γ¬ the whole album sounds so fresh and unspent that you begin to wonder how they Γ¬ managed to capture this spirit. These 14 hateful, fierce but very well arranged Γ¬ songs have become a permanent guest in my player meanwhile. The songs are Γ¬ perfectly balanced, yet my faves are the faster ones, such as "Spitfire", Γ¬ "Made to measure", "Ten minutes to Hollywood" or the bloody "Get Γ¬ pretty". No nu metal, no true metal, just raw violence. A bringer of evil! Γ¬ (JΓΌrgen Tschamler - 03/10)
