by Andreas Reissnauer (12.03.2008) The Brazilians have done their own thing for years now, have been to Europe (at their own expenses!) several times and indestructibly fought themselves through the underground. Result of all this work is now finally a longed-for, international record deal and Eminence say thank you for that with their best album so far. Still, the quartet cannot hide their Sepultura roots, yet the Southern Americans have added many additional melodies to their aggressive Thrash. Which made "The god of all mistakes" a very variable album that convinces with catchy refrains, edgy grooves and huge guitar salves. Singer Wallace changes his variable vocals with the sounds of his fellows and sings and roars on a high level. This Thrash killer was produced by Tue Madsen in the Antfarm Studios who provided the band with a massive wall of guitars, yet obviously forgot to look for the snare drums. But thatβs the only weak spot on this state-of-the-art Thrash album!
