After 1982 and 1996, Biff Byford and his troop release another proof of their unsurpassed stage presence with a double album bursting with highlights. Recorded on their “Lionheart"-tour in 2004 and 2005, "The eagle has landed Pt III" not only contains the big classics of the band's history but also some songs that haven't been in the live repertoire for a long time. On cd 1 you get many classics of their early years, originally released up to 1984, including their milestone “Crusader”. On cd 2 you get the most important songs of the later history, beginning with songs of the comeback-album, “Solid Ball Of Rock” through to material of “Lionheart”. New for Saxon: on "The eagle has landed Pt. III" you can hear two drummers - for the 2004-recordings it's Jörg Michael, on the recordings of 2005 it's the returned Nigel Glockler.
