by Benedikt Niederschmid (September 2004) Juvenile sins always return to you later. Three years ago, I reviewed their engaged "The darker side of nonsense" album which I didn't like too much. It just took too long until I realised that this album was more than meets the eye. Now I have the chance for reimbursement. Because after their change to SPV and after several line up changes, Dry Kill Logic present themselves better than ever. Already the opener, "Lost" is extremely kicking, the following "Paper Tiger" comes with a fat melody line and great riffs. Stylistically, the band sets forth what they've begun: aggression and melancholy are the emotional poles, shouter Cliff cultivates the change from scream vocals to sweetest melodies- New Metal of the old school I should say. Even the former weaknesses in song writing have simply vanished. ON the contrary: "The Dead & Dreaming" convinces on full length. Even some earwigs can be found.
