"The Ballads Vol. III" includes balladic material of all three Axel Rudi Pell albums which had appeared earlier. Next to the Rainbow cover "The Temple Of The King" the new song "Don't Say Goodbye" is worth listening to.

Axel Rudi Pell gets back to what the known. Since the first two parts of his ballads collection sold surprisingly well he now adds another part. On it, he not only presents his working band (featuring e.g. Hardline-singer Johnny Gioeli and Rage-drummer Mike Terrana), but also songs that fans with a romantic liking will die for: 'All The Rest Of My Life', 'Forever Angel' or 'Heartbreaker'. And in order to not only release odl material, Pell also offers three previously unreleased tracks, 'Forver Angel' in an additional unplugged version, 'Don't Say Goodbye' is a complete new composition and 'The Temple Of The King' may be known by Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow. My tip: turn the dimmers low, light some candles and relax with a glass of red wine. This way, these songs can unfold their full flavour. (Matthias Mineur - November 2004)
