Multimedia part The awakener (Bonus video-clip)

by Patrick Schmidt (02/03) Meanwhile, the Canadians are among the best-liked death metal bands ever. Especially their sweaty live gigs promise to be a highlight. Since the quartet has gained quite a number of new fans in the recent years, it seems a good idea to re-release the 96-album, "Temple of knowledge". However, the '96-Kataklysm can hardly be compared to those of today. A whole lot rougher and more brutal were the Franco-Canadians in the mid-90s. Also, with Sylvain on vocals and Nick on drums, they partly had an other line-up. With "Temple of knowledge", Kataklysm were one of the heaviest bands on this planet. Best known song shouldbe "The awakener", a classic still part of the live-set today. Bonus of this well-done re-release is the '93-demo, "The vortex of resurrection" as well as the video clip for "The awakener".
