The Death metal formation 'Formis' present the LP "Mental Survival". Brutal death/thrash wrecking ball in a manner of Decapitated, Hate, Furia and Horrorscope. SOEN are back with their second musical work "Tellurian".What does the albumβs title tell us? According to the"Dictionary of the English Language" Tellurian is an obsolete word for "from the earth or inhabiting the earth". The unique illustrators of the subconscious are back with a depressing message for all earthlings. The Swedish masters of prog rock provide us with consolatory words transmitted into complex musical structures in "Tellurian", crammed with technical gimmicks and wonderful melodies full of melancholy. The tonal labyrinth of "Tellurian" is best discovered via headphones in a dark room with closed eyes. For sure not just another prog metal album, that you listen to in one minute and have forgotten in the next. Abstract and carried by brutally nice melodies, this album sends us through ups and downs of a wonderful landscape of sound. To put it in the bandβs words: Soen probably aren't for everybody's ears but love it or leave it, their music isn't something you can consume. It consumes you if you let it.
